Mechanic Electric Vehicle

The Mechanic Electric Vehicle trade is a 2-year Engineering course offered by Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), designed to develop skilled professionals in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of electric vehicles. The course provides students with the essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to understand and work with modern electric vehicle systems, including electric cars, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and other battery-operated vehicles.

During the course, students gain expertise in electric vehicle technology, battery systems, electric motors, charging systems, vehicle wiring, electrical and electronic components, and diagnostic techniques. They are trained to identify and troubleshoot faults, perform routine maintenance, service EV components, use measuring and diagnostic instruments, and follow proper safety procedures while working with high-voltage electrical systems. The course also introduces students to battery management systems (BMS), power electronics, regenerative braking, EV controllers, and charging infrastructure, preparing them for employment opportunities in the rapidly growing electric vehicle industry.
