The Electronics Mechanic trade is a 2-year Engineering course offered by Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), focused on developing skilled technicians in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of electronic equipment. The course provides students with knowledge of electronic components, digital and analog circuits, communication systems, consumer electronics, and industrial control devices.
Students learn to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of electronic equipment using modern tools and measuring instruments. They also gain practical exposure to PCB assembly, soldering techniques, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance. In addition, the course develops technical problem-solving skills and familiarizes students with modern electronic systems used in industries. Graduates are capable of handling installation, maintenance, and servicing tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The trade prepares candidates for careers in electronics manufacturing, service centers, automation industries, telecommunications, and other technical sectors.
